Government of India will soon be launching a facility for the public under which a person can apply for a PAN Card online and it will be issued within the time duration of just 48 hours. Besides this, special camps will also be organized in the country including the rural areas in order to help the people in getting the PAN cards.

PAN (Permanent Account Number) is an alphanumeric number of 10 digit issued by the Income Tax Department which is now mandatory to have. It is also recognized as an address proof and photo identity. There are 3 simple steps for how to get PAN card and individuals who have still not applied for the PAN card and do not have it, can now apply for PAN card online.

One can visit the official website of UTIITSL for confirming if there is a PAN card allotted to the individual or not. For the new users the steps for how to get PAN card are as follows:

  1. Open the website http://www.applypanonline.com/ to open and apply for new PAN card.

  2. Fill in the details and make the payment.

  3. Apply for changes in PAN Card and Apply for reprint of the PAN card.
